Botox Medical

Botox is a naturally occurring purified protein used to relax selected muscles. This has been widely used for medical indications for many decades, even in large doses in small children suffering from skeletal muscle spasm as in cerebral palsy. Nervous muscle twitching or tics can be very distracting, especially in the face. Botox can be a handy remedy.

Migraine sufferers often gain relief using Botox to relax the muscle tension in forehead, brow and occasionally scalp muscles. This is effective in 40-50% of cases.

Excessive sweating can be embarrassing caused by a combination of hormonal and nervous stimulation of the sweat glands. In the axilla (armpit) this can be quickly and effectively blocked for long periods, on average, 8 months.

Trigger points can be controlled with Botox.
